Miniatures are one of my favourite hobbies. Starting with an interest in my da’s model railway, the love of all things little quickly struck me, and I’ve spent the last few years doing features on making small dioramas and creating tiny scenes including snowscapes and RAF airfields.
When I found that the Hashimoto Contemporary have taken on artist Abigail Goldman I was thrilled. Not only does this artist get some well-deserved light shone on her intimate, miniatures of horror and woe, but the gallery also gets to shine. It’s a beautiful pairing, and one I hope lasts a while.
Here’s some images of Goldman’s “Mea Culpa” running 8/4/16 – 8/27/16, and her private collection. (Credit to the Hashimoto Contemporary, the Trifecta Gallery and CaptJax)
